What about childcare? Is it available?

We have screened volunteers, members in our church family, who provide safe childcare for infants and toddlers during worship and Sunday school.

What should I wear on Sunday morning?

Out of respect for God, one should give thought to what he or she wears. However, the more important issue is the attitude of the heart. God is not impressed with our clothes, but rather with our heart’s desire to seek Him, His Word, His love, and His forgiveness of our sins.

What will happen when I come to the church?

You will be warmly greeted by several people throughout the church. You will not be asked to stand and state your name or sign any kind of book or register, One of the ushers will hand you a bulletin which outlines our worship format and identifies other calendar events for the week. As the worship opens with a welcome, you are invited to complete the “Connecting Point” so that our pastor and/or welcoming team may have the necessary information to follow up with a personal letter or visit.

What is worship like?

Our worship services are approximately 75 minutes long, utilizing PowerPoint to provide song lyrics, Scripture, pictures and information. About mid-way into the service, an opportunity will arise for the children grades K-3 to leave and participate in “Children’s Church.” For the latest worship format, click here. Prayer, the preaching of God’s Word, and receiving the love offerings from church members are all part of ascribing honor and worship to God.

Will I be asked to give money?

Our church members, who have committed themselves to their church family, support their church family with their love offerings. Giving is a form of worship. As our guest, you will not be asked to support anything. However, if God prompts you to provide a financial gift, it will be used to honor Him and His work through this church family. If your gift is in one of our church envelopes with your name or if your gift is in the form of a check, you will receive a tax deductible statement at the end of the year.

Are there any altar calls or invitations at the end of the worship service?

Sometimes, the pastor may end a sermon with an invitation to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Sometimes, the invitation is extended to come forward while at other times the invitation is to pray quietly in your heart to receive Jesus Christ. It is important, however, for the pastor to know so that he can provide prayer and resources to help you grow in your faith. If you need a quiet place to talk and ask further questions, the pastor or one of the elders will be available to meet with you immediately.
