First Baptist supports a diverse variety of outreach partners and organizations.

Youth

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Maine desires to reach every child in Maine with the gospel. Their ministry includes summer backyard Bible (5 Day) Clubs, weekly school year meetings called Good News Clubs, winter and summer camps and other programs. The office of the Southern Maine branch of CEF is located in our Christian Education Building.

Greater Portland Christian School (K-12) provides a Christian education which complements home and church and brings a biblical perspective to every subject. Some of our church members are or have been involved with the school.

Intervarsity Christian Fellowship serves seven colleges in Central and Southern Maine. We also support Campus Ambassadors working on seven college campuses in the Northwest.

Urban Church Growth

Two of our partners are based in Boston and New York City. Several churches of many cultures have been planted there and in other cities including Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Diego. They have also trained others who have started churches in their home countries of Liberia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Sierra Leone.

Technology

One of our partners assists in global Bible translation, even in very remote places, from the JAARS headquarters in North Carolina. Another couple minister in Spain assisting church planters with media material. They provide written and video productions in both Spanish and Arabic.

Agriculture

We also have partners who work as tentmakers in agriculture and education in Asia.
